When it comes to cats vs dogs, I’m on Team Dog all the way. I’ve loved all dogs since I was a little kid. At the moment I foster dogs from the local animal shelter since I’m gone too much as a secret agent to have a dog full time.
Despite being a dog lover, I recently had a situation on a mission that made me question my love for all the world’s dogs. Let’s just say, some are a bit less friendly.
The mission involved me sneaking into the compound of a drug cartel leader. The compound was well guarded with electrified fencing, armed guards, security cameras, and motion detectors.
I was able to take out the security system and turn off the power to the electric fence without any issues. In fact, sneaking into the compound turned out to be easier than I could have imagined.
Since I needed to be quick and quiet, the only real gear I was carrying was my LG Stylo 4 holster case. I had used the phone to hack in and access the cartel’s security system. I was also able to download intel on recent drug shipments. Everything was going smoothly at first and I got all the intel we needed.
It was on my way out that I ran into trouble.
Turns out we had missed one element of the compound security - guard dogs. They must have caught my scent as I was trying to quietly sneak back out of the compound. With no warning, I was being chased by two huge, vicious looking dogs.
They eventually cornered me into a back part of the compound. I needed to jump the fence but was worried about turning my back on them. With only a split second to think, I unclipped my LG Stylo 4 rugged case from the holster with swivel belt clip included. I held it up for the dogs to see and then threw it as hard as I could.
The dogs took the bait and went after the phone. I quickly jumped over the fence and hid in a section of trees just out of view.
I saw the dogs run over to the LG Stylo 4 heavy duty case and start sniffing and pawing at it. I was pretty sure the phone had survived the throw. The case offers premium shockproof protection and has been military grade standard drop tested. It can withstand drops from 2 meters and while I threw it hard, the combination of the case and the grassy landing should have protected it.
Now, I was just worried about the screen. Those big paws on the dogs looked heavy and the nails sharp. The case comes with a tempered glass screen protector and raised bezel for extra screen protection - which I hoped were working.
After a while, the dogs got bored and went back to whatever they were doing before they caught my scent. I waited for a few minutes, just in case, before jumping the fence again and running to grab my phone.
It was not only not broken, it wasn’t even scratched! The rugged dual layer construction obviously works well. Between the hybrid thermoplastic inner skin and durable polycarbonate frame with kickstand, my phone was like new. The LG Stylo 4 heavy duty case definitely lived up to its reputation.
Even the fingerprint unlock compatible part of the case was still working. The stylus, buttons, and ports were still easily accessible and undamaged.
