As a secret agent, if you are captured, it often means torture. Even worse than our own capture though is the risk of us giving up vital intelligence under the pressure of said torture. Some secret agents even carry cyanide pills which they can use to commit suicide rather than face torture.
Thankfully, in all my years working as a secret agent, I’ve only ever been captured a few times and have always been able to escape before we got to the torture part.
Being able to escape with your life is important but so is being able to escape with vital intelligence. One of my best escape stories not only involved me not being tortured but was also the source of some of my best intel to date.
I won’t get into how I was captured but I will mention that I had my iPhone XS with me when I was grabbed. The phone was in an ultra thin, super protective IRON ARMOR2 phone case that is also important to the story.
And - while it’s not important to the story - the case also comes with 3 colors to choose from. I had the super nice looking black version.
Anyways, after I was captured, I had been dragged to an underground bunker of some sort and tied to a chair. My captors weren’t that intelligent though and didn’t even frisk me before leaving me alone in the room.
Not only did I still have my phone, I also had a hidden knife which I quickly used to cut the ropes tying me to the chair. With in minutes, I had also managed to pick the lock on the door and was free to escape.
Seeing the opportunity to gather some more intel though, I decided that rather than immediately getting out of there, I would look around a bit. Opening a door at the end of the hallway, I found myself in an office packed with papers. Not knowing what might be valuable, I quickly grabbed my iPhone XS out of the holster with swivel belt clip that came included with the phone case.
I started snapping photos of the piles of paperwork as fast as I could. Using the case’s face ID unlock compatible feature, I also quickly unlocked the phone and called headquarters to update them on my situation.
Unfortunately, the sound of the call must have alerted one of the guards. In bursts this huge guy, covered in tattoos. With no desire to be recaptured, I put all my combat training to good use and fought my way past him and out of the bunker.
During the struggle, my iPhone XS took more than a few good hits. I was a bit worried I might have broken the phone and lost the photos. Thankfully, the premium rugged dual layer construction of the case proved to be fully drop and shockproof.
Even after being thrown against the wall in my struggle to escape, the iPhone XS screen was crack-free. Thankfully the case came with both a tempered glass screen protector and a raised bezel for extra screen protection.
Once out of the bunker, I headed immediately for the bureau’s safe house in the city. As soon as I arrived, I quickly connected my iPhone XS to the computer. All buttons and ports on the phone are easily accessible with the premium case. I uploaded the photos I had taken while also charging my phone with the case’s support for wireless charging.
Not only had I managed to escape potential torture, I had managed to get some incredible intel from the photos I took. We had enough information now to bring down the whole criminal organization.
