When working undercover I might take on any number of disguises. The key to a good disguise is being unnoticeable and inconspicuous. It also helps if the disguise gets you access to restricted areas.
As an example, I recently worked undercover as a bicycle messenger in a major city. We needed to get access to the office of a law firm we suspected was helping launder money for clients.
My disguise was perfect. I could move easily through the city without being followed. I could get into the office by pretending to deliver a package. Plus, as a bike messenger I was basically invisible to the powerful lawyers at the firm. They were much too “important” to care what a bike messenger was doing.
The only downside to the disguise was that I couldn’t carry much gear. It’s also a pretty demanding job and since I had to make it look genuine, I really was delivering packages throughout the day.
Looking for lightweight gear, I decided to take along a premium, ultra slim, clear COVERT3 iPhone 11 Pro case. The case is shockproof and really thin. It’s also built with enhanced drop protection.
The military grade standard drop tested protection came in a lot more handy than I would have thought. Bike messengers might seem to rule the streets but the taxis and cars definitely don’t feel the need to share the road.
In less than an hour of making deliveries I had been honked at, close to run over, and sideswiped by multiple cars.
I had my iPhone 11 Pro phone case in my pocket the whole time. I was sure it was broken after the third or fourth “bump” from a cab. At one point I was actually run off the road and fell off the bike. I pulled out the iPhone 11 Pro silicone case and was shocked to see it was fine.
The reinforced shock absorbing corners protected the phone from most of the impact. The raised bezel for extra screen protection also helped keep the screen crack free. The iPhone 11 Pro cover wasn’t even scratched thanks to the scratch resistant clear back. It is truly a case designed to withstand drops from 2 meters.
After delivering a few real packages, I headed for the law firm with the decoy package. I easily got my way into the building and up to their offices. Once there I insisted I needed to hand deliver the package to one of the lawyer’s offices and got permission from the secretary to head back.
Sneaking into one of the other empty offices on my way, I pulled out my iPhone 11 Pro bumper case and started using it to hack into their computer system. I kept a good hold on my iPhone 11 Pro slim case using the secure anti-slip diamond grip just in case I needed to make a run for it.
No one came into the office though. I was able to quickly connect the phone to the computer using a USB cable. Thankfully, with the iPhone 11 Pro clear case, all buttons and ports are easily accessible. As a bonus, the case is Face ID unlock compatible which made it a little quicker to unlock the phone and get into the system.
I got the intel I needed, dropped the fake decoy package in a trash can, and got out of there as quickly as I could.
It was a successful mission and the iPhone 11 Pro thin case definitely proved itself. I might pick up a backup case in another of the 3 colors to choose from. It’s really a premium silicone case - protective, functional, and even wireless charging compatible. Two thumbs up from me.
