Pixel Fold Rumors: All That We Know

You've come to the right place if you want to learn more about the future Google Pixel Fold! Here, we examine every Pixel Fold leak that has surfaced, along with credible Pixel Fold rumors, Pixel Fold-related patents, and our own conjectures.

Keep in mind that since Google has not yet made any official statements regarding the release of a foldable Pixel phone, so you should proceed with caution.

Design

The Google Pixel Fold, which resembles the Samsung Z Fold 4 in appearance before expanding to reveal a larger internal display, may at first seem like a thicker Google Pixel 7 Pro. The Pixel Fold, in contrast to the latter phone, might have a shorter but wider exterior display, giving it a design resembling the Oppo Find N.

Display

According to reports, the foldable Pixel will have a 7.69-inch inner display and a 5.79-inch outer display. When unfolded, the device will measure 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.7mm (6.2 x 5.5 x 0.2 inches), or 8.3mm deep (0.3 inches) if the glossy metal camera bar is included. Also, it will reportedly come in silver or black.

Key display information for the Google Pixel Fold has been disclosed by developer Kuba Wojciechowski. He notes that the inner panel is anticipated to have a resolution of 2208 x 1840.

Camera

According to a leak, the 9.5MP front cameras on both the outer and inner screens will be identical. A 50MP main lens, a 48MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide camera will be located on the back of the device, and they will be arranged identically to the Pixel 7 Pro's cameras.

A separate rumor suggested that the Pixel Fold would only include one 12MP rear camera plus two 8MP front cameras, as per information found in the Google Camera app.

Performance

We predict that Android 12 will be installed on the Google Pixel Fold. Based on the Android 12 Beta, we anticipate it to include folding phone-specific capabilities, probably with a focus on multitasking, to let users fully utilize their large displays.

Battery

Although the Pixel Fold's battery's precise specs haven't been made public, one source claims that it will be bigger than the 4,400 mAh battery in the Samsung Z Fold 4. Although foldable phones have yet to produce positive results on the TG custom battery test, hopefully, this correlates to the Pixel Fold having strong battery performance.

Price

Jon Prosser's claim that the Google Pixel Fold would cost $1,799 is our most trustworthy source regarding the price. We can only assume for now, but a new report from Yogesh Brar, another leaker, claims that Google's foldable phone would cost between $1,300 and $1,500.

Release Date

According to the most current rumor, the Pixel Fold could be unveiled alongside the Pixel 7a on May 10 at the Google I/O 2023 developer conference. By the second week of June, The Pixel Fold is anticipated to be made available.

Conclusion

We believe the moment is perfect for a Google-made folding phone, even though the Google Pixel Fold's status is still up for debate. Whilst only the future is certain in this situation, we're fascinated by the idea of the rumored Google Pixel Fold.
